Description
  • A woman stands behind the counter of the Mears Meat Market and Grocery located in Portland, Oregon. The store is stocked with packaged food products that are stacked on shelves and in display cases. Perishable food items like meat, cheese, milk, and baked goods are stored in glass display cases. On top of these display cases are food products, scales, rolls of paper in paper holders, and a spool of thread. Behind the counter is a wooden shelf, on which a metal fan sits and where two saws and a hatchet hang. Located below the shelf is a scale on top of a wooden table. Crepe paper decorations are strung from the ceiling of the store. In the center of the store is a wooden beam, and wire baskets filled with produce, including apples and potatoes. Other objects visible include light bulbs that hang from the ceiling and a poster for Heinz ketchup.
