Description
  • An officer, identified as Earl R. Biggs, is dressed in a police uniform, seated at an office desk next to which sit a women and a young girl. The office was identified as an interviewing office for the Sunshine Division. Officer Biggs is dressed in a police uniform that consists of a shirt with collar, necktie, long sleeved coat with badge and patch, belt, trousers, and lace-up shoes. His right hand rests on a desk holding a pencil. His gaze is turned toward the woman and girl seated in two wooden chairs next to him. The woman holds a folded paper sack on her lap and is dressed in a brimmed hat, long jacket, and laced up shoes. The girl is dressed in a matching corduroy hat and jacket, scarf, knee-high socks, and slip-on shoes. In the corner of the office is a wooden cabinet. On top of the cabinet is a rectangular box with a handle that has the word Turnaphone on its surface. Hanging on the wall are framed portraits. Other objects visible in the image are a wastebasket, wooden door, round mirror, wood paneling, light fixture, and a floor pattern with alternating dark and light squares.

  • Scanned in transmissive mode with Silverfast AI 6.0 on UMAX PowerLook III flatbed scanner (Scanner B). Levels adjusted from 0 - 1.00 - 255 to 20 - 1.00 - 178 prior to capture. Scanned image enters Photoshop with negative polarity and has a reversed orientation. Archived Tiff is saved. Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop image, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved.
